Sales Manager / Job Description
- STAFF LEVEL SALES MANAGER GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execution of tasks to accomplish items part of role agenda
- Execution of tasks that may be assigned by Manager
- Report status as requested by Superiors
- Meet with leads as required / requested
- Follow company guidelines and procedures during the sales process and otherwise
- Take lead phone calls when leads require detailed information regarding the construction process, etc
- Make lead follow up calls and or emails as required
- Other tasks as may be assigned by Director/GM/Etc
- OBJECTIVES:
- Meet sold percentage objective
- Do not exceed missed appointment threshold
- Meet apt count objective
- Other objectives as may be deemed required
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to use a computer (email, word processing, excel spreadsheets, salesperson pipeline and logs, etc)
- Valid drivers lic.
- Currently employed
- Must have a “go getter” personality
- 7+ yrs sales exp
- 5+ yrs management exp
- Must be able to walk the line between being assertive and becoming overly aggressive during each and every sales meeting
- Must be able to ask the “hard” questions during each sales meeting, to ensure that all client objections are uncovered.
- “Tour guide” sales approach is not acceptable in this position
- Each sales meeting must end with (i) a deal closed OR (ii) a definite no from the client with a clear plan with the client to address objections that are interfering with the close
- Must be able to follow a structured sales meeting process
- This candidate will not have the ability to learn how to sell.
- Sales must be second nature to this seasoned candidate so that the candidate can give complete and uninterrupted focus on the sales process during each meeting.
- Timid sales person or a passive closer will not be successful
- Travel is required for this position (Between offices)
