Luxury Sales Representative (Inside & Outside)
Category: Exempt
Reporting Relationship: VP Business Development or designated person
Location: Manhattan, NYC
The primary responsibility of the Luxury Sales Rep is to generate and increase wholesale sales volume to new and existing clients.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Sales
o Identify, target and close new clients to maximize sales volume through strategic methods including cold calling and in-person presentations and meetings.
o Identify and cultivate new accounts in the corporate and hospitality markets.
o Develop and maintain relationships with clients through on-site visits.
o Identify market trends and effectively communicate experience to colleagues and management.
o Present company, product information, terms and conditions to new clients through detailed and thorough sales presentations.
o Frequently communicate with sales team management on goals and objectives.
o Work closely with other sales team members to meet both team and personal goals.
Trade Show Sales
o Attend and participate in multiple trade shows including, but not limited to New York and High Point.
o Manage communication with customers and leads to promote attendance at trade shows and Market.
Qualifications include (but not limited to):
Bachelor’s degree preferred, AA degree required, preferably in a related field.
3 year minimum of a successful track record in outside luxury sales preferably in the furniture industry.
Exceptional consultative sales skills including cold calling, up-selling and cross-selling.
Ability to develop, communicate and successfully implement a sales strategy.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, vendors and individuals across the Company.
Strong relationship building skills.
Computer literate. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and ERP systems, SAP BusinessOne preferred.
Ambitious and driven.
Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple work tasks.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative, outgoing, team environment.
Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
